    ABOUT CAAA & DINEOLOGY

    What is Dineology?

    Dineology is a multidisciplinary culinary ecosystem created by chef Pietro Catalano. The kitchen and bar work as one unit, sharing techniques, ingredients, and creative processes to create unified fine dining and mixology experiences. It combines gastronomy, architecture, contemporary art, and sustainable design.

    What makes CAAA unique compared to other restaurants in Lucerne, Zug, Zürich or Basel?

    CAAA merges fine dining with world-class mixology, sustainable architecture, a contemporary gallery space, and a multidisciplinary creative philosophy. Few restaurants in Switzerland or Europe combine food and cocktails at this level.

    Who is the chef behind CAAA?

    CAAA is led by autodidact chef Pietro Catalano, who blends Swiss precision with Calabrian roots and a background in classical trumpet to create emotional, multi-sensory menus.

    Where is CAAA located?

    We are located at:
    Haldenstrasse 19, 6006 Luzern, Switzerland, near Lake Lucerne and major hotels.

    How do I get to CAAA from Zug, Zürich, or Basel?

    From Zug: 25–30 minutes by train or car

    From Zürich: 45–50 minutes by train or car

    From Basel: 60–70 minutes by train or car

    Many guests from these regions travel to Lucerne specifically for the CAAA Dineology experience.

    Is parking available nearby?

    Yes. Several public parking options are available near Haldenstrasse, including hotel garages and lakeside parking.

    RESERVATIONS

    How can I reserve a table at CAAA?

    Reservations can be made directly on our website via our booking system. Advance booking is recommended, especially for Fridays and Saturdays.

    Do you accept walk-ins?

    We operate with limited seating (20 seats). Walk-ins are rarely possible — reservations are strongly recommended.

    How far in advance should I book?

    Weekends: 2–4 weeks in advance

    Weekdays: 3–7 days in advance

    Christmas season / special events: 4–6 weeks

    MENU & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

    What kind of menu does CAAA offer?

    We offer 4-course, 5-course, and 7-course seasonal tasting menus based on the Dineology philosophy. Our cuisine blends Swiss ingredients, Mediterranean heritage, and contemporary techniques.

    Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free menus?

    Vegetarian menu: Yes, with advance notice

    Vegan: No (not possible within our Dineology ecosystem)

    Gluten-free: No

    Other allergies: Must be communicated before booking

    Is this a fine dining restaurant?

    Yes. CAAA is a fine dining restaurant with a Michelin-level tasting structure and a Pinnacle-recognized mixology program.

    Do you offer lunch in Lucerne?

    Yes.

    Business Lunch (Thu–Fri): 2 or 3 courses

    Fine Dining Lunch (Saturday): 5-course Dineology tasting menu

    Does CAAA have a bar?

    Yes — our bar is part of the Dineology Ecosystem. We have two Pinnacle Pins, the highest global recognition in the bar world.

    Can I visit the bar without booking dinner?

    Limited spots may be available depending on the evening. Contact us for bar-only inquiries.

    Do you offer event catering in Lucerne, Zug, Zürich, or Basel?

    Yes — we provide Dineology event catering for private homes, corporate events, galleries, brand activations, and luxury venues across central Switzerland.

    What is your event capacity?

    Standing events: Up to 200 guests

    Seated private dining: Up to 80 guests in our space or at your location

    Do you host private events in the gallery?

    Yes. Our connected gallery space is perfect for receptions, product launches, corporate gatherings, and curated culinary installations.

    Can I take photos?

    Yes — photography is allowed except when flash disrupts other guests.

    Do you accept children?

    Children are welcome if they can enjoy a calm fine-dining environment. We do not offer children’s menus.

    PAYMENT & POLICIES

    What payment methods do you accept?

    All major credit cards, Twint, and cash.

    What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations may incur a fee.
